Mitt Romney is taking an antiunion stance in Michigan, attacking Rick Santorum for his “unapologetic defense of big labor’’ as part of a new attempt to paint his rival as beholden to a powerful Democratic ally.
Romney is seizing on votes Santorum took in the Senate against national right-to-work legislation and in support of the Davis-Bacon Act, which requires government contractors to pay the prevailing wage. Both votes reflected the positions of organized labor.

DETROIT (AP) – General Motors earned its highest profit ever last year. The 103-year-old company made $7.6 billion in 2011, up 62% from 2010. Full-year revenue rose 11% to $105 billion. North America led the way with a $7.2 billion pretax profit. But problems surfaced that could hurt future earnings. GM lost $700 million before taxes in Europe and lost $100 million in South America.

3rd and 1st Shifts To Work Saturday, February 25th
February 15, 2012 – Production has been added for 3rd and 1st shifts on Saturday, February 25, 2012, to make up losses resulting from recent catastrophic mechanical breakdowns. Normal shift times will be in effect and we do not anticipate that 2nd shift production will be required. Should this change, we will inform you right away.
